After a long waiting, Battles of Napoleon - The Eagle and The Lion is finally coming out. It's the first title of new boardgame series, based on an system easy to learn, flowing with an accurate and historical care to simulate the most important battles of the Napoleonic period, and it will be soon available in every game store, even if you could directly buy on this site. The Eagle and the Lion is just the first title of the series that will let you live directly 10 different battles with everything you need to reproduce the most important clashes between the French and the English armies, historical enemies, on the battlefields of Belgium, Spain and Italy.

Inside of the box you will find a richness of components of high quality, with over 200 plastic miniatures, with their respective bases, counters, detailed hexagonal maps, game cards and dice.

With Battles of Napoleon system, the players will challenge themselves with tactical problems similar to those that commanders had to overcome during the Napoleonic age and they shall be able to coordinate infantry, cavalry and artillery on the battlefield, maneuvering units and using the best formations, knowing the strength and the weak points of their armies.

Playing with The Eagle and the Lion, the gamers will assume the role of commander in chief of French and English armies (sometimes supported by allies of different nationality) during particular battles. Every battle is described by a scenario, centered on an historical and important event of the Napoleonic Wars. The choice of the scenario will fix the battlefield where the players will play, the battle order that will show which troops are available for the two rivals, the game length in turns and victory conditions, in addition to possible special rules to use in that scenario.

Il primo titolo di questa nuova serie di giochi da tavolo, basata su un sistema di gioco facile da apprendere, fluido e con una approfondita ricerca storica per simulare le più importanti battaglie del periodo napoleonico, sarà nei negozi entro breve, ma lo potrete comprare direttamente su questo sito. The Eagle and the Lion è il primo titolo della serie che presenterà 10 diverse battaglie con tutto quello che occorre per ricreare molti degli scontri più importanti tra gli eserciti francesi e inglesi, nemici giurati, sui campi di battaglia del Belgio, della Spagna e dell'Italia.

All'interno della confezione, troverete una ricca componentistica di elevata qualità, con oltre 200 miniature in plastica con relative basette, segnalini, mappe dettagliate esagonate, carte e dadi.

Con il sistema di Battles of Napoleon, i giocatori potranno confrontarsi con problemi tattici analoghi a quelli vissuti dai comandanti dell'era napoleonica e dovranno dimostrarsi capaci di usare in forma coordinata la fanteria, la cavalleria e l'artiglieria, di manovrare le unità e di utilizzare al meglio le formazioni, conoscendo i punti di forza e debolezza delle proprie truppe.

In The Eagle and The Lion, i giocatori assumeranno il ruolo di comandanti in capo dell'esercito francese e dell'esercito inglese (talvolta supportato da alleati di altre nazionalità) in una specifica battaglia. Ogni battaglia è descritta da uno scenario, incentrato su un episodio storico significativo delle guerre napoleoniche. La scelta dello scenario determinerà il campo di battaglia su cui giocare, l'ordine di battaglia che descrive le truppe a disposizione dei due contendenti, la durata del gioco in turni e le condizioni di vittoria, oltre eventuali regole speciali.
